Today in human geo class we had 3 more presentations on the group activities we were assigned last week. Carl by far had the best presentation, and he made the entire class laugh without even trying! He made me cry because I was laughing so hard, but on a serious note, all of the presentations were very good, and they each had a lot of information on the population pyramids and the organizations that help end world hunger. Mr. Schick also told us that we have a test on Monday, but I won't be there because I have a showcase soccer tournament in Florida.
Human Geography Class Today in Human Geography class we discussed the ancient Greeks meaning of the word "idiot". The word meant someone who was considered self centered. They believed that idiots were born and citizens were made through school. If someone did not participate in voting, they would also be called idiots. Idiots were mainly focused on themselves and did not care about what was happening around them. We also talked more about Socrates and his most famous quote. “The unexamined life is not worth living.” I agree with Socrates because not questioning anything and always following other people is boring.
