Today in human geo class we reviewed everything we have learned in the past week. It was a review on the populations of countries, the net migration rate, etc. We continued to talk about this for the rest of class. I also found out that Mr. Schick worked on many movies, such as Home Alone or Uncle Buck, as a director. He also told us the story of how he came to be working in the film industry, and I find it a funny story. Overall it was a pretty interesting class, and I enjoyed it.
Human Geography Class Today in Human Geography class we discussed the ancient Greeks meaning of the word "idiot". The word meant someone who was considered self centered. They believed that idiots were born and citizens were made through school. If someone did not participate in voting, they would also be called idiots. Idiots were mainly focused on themselves and did not care about what was happening around them. We also talked more about Socrates and his most famous quote. “The unexamined life is not worth living.” I agree with Socrates because not questioning anything and always following other people is boring.
