Today in human geo class we took notes on a video explaining 200 years worth of global health in 200 countries in four minutes. Hans Rosling teaches global health. The life expectancy is on the x axis on a chart. The ages usually range between 25- 75 years. The y axis is the income per person ad ranges from $400-$40,000. In 1810 every country's life expectancy was below 40 except for the UK and the Netherlands, which were the richest countries at the time. The industrial revolution is causing the industrializing nations are increasing their life expectancy, and African and Asian colonies life expectancy did not increase because their nation did not take part in industrializing. World War I, World War II, and the Spanish influenza drastically decreased the life expectancy. 1948- end of war and countries are extremely spread out on the chart; they continue to increase their life expectancy. 1990's- Asian countries rapidly increased and in the present there are hardly any countrie

Kiva.org helps entrepreneurs who want to help developing nations. These organization has a wide variety of causes that help all kinds of people in need. The borrowers can range from wanting to help veterans, to single parents, agriculture, shelter, and even health in developing countries. It has the Charity Navigator’s highest reward, and has about 1.7 million people who have donated money towards a cause on Kiva. Two borrows I’m looking at are a lady named Maria in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and she wants to start a Morgan Veteran Recruiting Group. Her business will work with veterans and the loan allows her to meet with the veterans. Her idea is to have candidates and help them perfect their resumes and help them get a job. It can be hard for veterans to transition from being on high alert 24/7 to taking their kids to school, going to buy some groceries, etc. it can be hard for a veteran to adapt to this new life, and as a result many soldiers have PTSD from this. M
Today in human geo class we watched a video on population pyramids and how important they are. Demographic transition is when you take the age, gender, and trend that goes with it to see where a country will be in a few decades. For example it could be pre-industrial, industrial, or post-industrial. Industrial is when a country is making a lot of money, has a bountiful supply of good paying jobs, and the economy is booming. Countries that are just now industrializing are slowly increasing life expectancy. Rural living vs urban living has changed during the industrial revolution because the factories were in the city so people moved in order to get a good-paying job.
             Today in human geo class Mr.Schick went over the test we had last Monday. I was not here Monday because I was in a college showcase soccer tournament in Florida, and had a chance to get recruited for a college for soccer.  I had many college coaches come to my last game, and I took the tournament very serious because I want to play soccer in college. I hardly had any free time and didn't have any time to do my school work, that is why I'm taking the test tomorrow. I am also doing the extra credit tomorrow because I have a lot of math homework to make up.
Today in human geo class we had 3 more presentations on the group activities we were assigned last week. Carl by far had the best presentation, and he made the entire class laugh without even trying! He made me cry because  I was laughing so hard, but on a serious note, all of the presentations were very good, and they each had a lot of information on the population pyramids and the organizations that help end world hunger. Mr. Schick also told us that we have a test on Monday, but I won't be there because I have a showcase soccer tournament in Florida.
Today in human geo class we finished our group presentations on the population pyramid activities. My group found out we were not the only ones to pick the B activity instead of the A. I found out many interesting things today in class, and many of the presentations were funny. Over all it was a very fun human geography class, and I learned a lot today.
Today in human geography class we started to present our group projects involving the population pyramids. Gracyn, Reilly, and I were the second group to present, and apparently we were the only group to go for a B instead of an A. I feel we did well, and I think we will all get a good grade on the project. I learned many new things today from the pyramids, and overall it was a good class.

Today I was not at school because I am sick.
Today in human geo class we went over different population pyramids. Mr. Schick showed us many population pyramids of each type of population period. The three types of population pyramids are box, cup, and christmas tree. He also showed us many population pyramids of different countries and he had us guess what type of population pyramid the country would be. For example, Kenya and China were christmas trees, whereas the United States was a box. It was an interesting human geo class and I enjoyed it.
Today in human geo class we reviewed everything we have learned in the past week. It was a review on the populations of countries, the net migration rate, etc. We continued to talk about this for the rest of class. I also found out that Mr. Schick worked on many movies, such as Home Alone or Uncle Buck, as a director. He also told us the story of how he came to be working in the film industry, and I find it a funny story. Overall it was a pretty interesting class, and I enjoyed it.
